Hormel Foods Corporation Quality Control Auditor in Tucker, Georgia
Food Safety is the core function of the Quality Control Auditor.
This position is responsible for various Quality Control functions as assigned. Duties include but not limited to; performing line quality audits, label verification, GMP audits, providing department coverage, document review, and weight control checks of all products using established procedures to assure products meet approved government and company programs. Must be able to understand and apply basic food and industrial safety terminology such as HACCP, GMP, and USDA.
Applicants must have at least 6 months verifiable work experience
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
Applicant must be able to work in refrigerated and non refrigerated environments
Physical ability to stand a minimum of 8 hours to a maximum of 16 hours on a daily basis.
Ability to climb fixed and portable ladders to a height of 6 feet.
Ability to stoop and bend while lifting weights up to 50 lbs.
Ability to view product to determine adherence to quality control standards.
Ability to view written documents and computer communication systems
Ability to read and comprehend production schedules, formula sheets, etc. and record information applicable to position.
Meet/maintain USDA food handling requirements and other governmental and/or customer requirements
Ability to meet FDA guidelines of public safety for work in a food production environment
