Hormel Foods PW 3-REC-SHF1-CLMB-SA in Hayward, California

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  1. FIFO knowledge

  2. Ability to operate Forklift and Pallet Jack (electric)

  3. Ability to work with spices, allergens, cleaning chemicals and mold

  4. Strong knowledge of General Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s),Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and BRC standards

  5. Drives continuous improvement in both production process and occupational safety

  6. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment, maintaining a commitment to results.

  7. Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day regardless of the department assignment and overtime when needed, including weekends and holidays.

  8. Basic Computer Skills needed.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs

  • Ability to work in a light to moderate noise environment, and/or up to a high level of noise environment that requires mandated personal protective equipment

  • Ability to work 8 hour shift and overtime when needed

Environmental Demands

• Ability to work in extreme cold and wet environment

• Ability to work with and around allergens

• Ability to work with and around raw meat

• Ability to work with and around cured and cooked meat

• Ability to work with and around spices including pepper
