NETWORK SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN - IT SERVICES - CORPORATE OFFICE (AUSTIN, MN)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, the person in this position:
Monitors and responds to infrastructure hardware and software reporting systems.
Utilizes hardware and software testing tools and troubleshooting techniques.
Interfaces with the support services group to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
Installs and maintains network / telephony hardware and software.
Performs troubleshooting and problem resolution on network / telephony systems and services.
Creates and maintains documentation for installed network / telephony equipment and services.
May travel to remote sites to coordinate installations / hardware upgrades.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
Two years post high school technical education or equivalent experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated use of strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Preferred
Two to four years' experience in network / telecommunications and/or troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of PC/LAN and WAN communications hardware/software and network management software.
